30-second setup (most people can start here)
- Stand tall in your usual shoes.
- Relax your arms at your sides (don’t reach forward).
- Set the grips to the wrist crease height.
- When you hold the grips, your elbows should be slightly bent and comfortable.

Choose your device
Walker
Use wrist crease height as the baseline, then confirm a comfortable slight elbow bend holding the grips.
Rollator
Same baseline (wrist crease), plus a quick check for brake reach and stability. Lock brakes before sitting.
Walker: step-by-step
- Stand upright in your usual shoes. Place the walker in front of you on a flat surface.
- Relax your shoulders and let your arms hang naturally at your sides.
- Adjust both handles so the grips line up with your wrist crease.
Rollator: step-by-step
- Start the same way: usual shoes, upright posture, arms relaxed.
- Set grips to your wrist crease, then confirm a slight, comfortable elbow bend when holding the grips.
- Make sure you can reach and squeeze the brakes comfortably without stretching.
- Safety: lock brakes before sitting, and only sit if your rollator is designed for sitting and you’re on a stable surface.
